Miranda Lambert has a new song on the way.
The country star says "Automatic" is "about slowing down, taking a breath, and remembering what it's like to live life a little more simply." She explains that the autobiographical song isn't "about going back, but reminiscing about what it was like when she was younger.
In the song Miranda reflects on the days of pay phones, hanging the laundry out to dry, and her dad teaching her to drive stick shift on her 1955 Chevy. Lambert explains that the song "brings back good memories," and helps remind her to "take a deep breath and to remember that getting there is half the fun."
"Automatic" is the first release from Miranda's upcoming fifth album, which is expected later this year. The track will be released to radio on Wednesday.
